The last 12 years of our life we have huddled under the heaters at
Memorial arena, clutching a Tim Horton's coffee while watching our 4
children play hockey. Now one playing PeeWee, 2 playing Bantam and 1
playing Midget, we enjoy the off season on the soccer pitch or the ball
diamond!
Regardless what sport our kids are playing we often catch myself
saying...... yougottalovethisgame. Over the last 12 years we have
captured the images of winning goals, careless penalties, stolen bases
and winning headers. Needless to say we have what I call our "Hall
Of Fame!" Our hallway is littered with photos.
As our kids grow old, I can't help but get goose bumps when I capture
another shot through the viewer of one of our Nikon D70's on another game
winning goal. Their faces, the celebration, the joy. That's what it's
all about. I catch myself wondering, will this be their last year of
hockey, baseball, soccer etc. But then I look at the pictures. Truly,
the memories will last a lifetime!

It's been great working with my sister Jackie. Together we have a true
love of sports and get great reward in seeing the smiles on the young athletes.

Throughout our married years we have traveled the United
States with our "Basenjis" to "dog shows" on
the circuit. We would gather up our ribbons and stand in line to
get our photos taken with our pride and joy. Our walls are full of
basenji photos not to mention albums of memories. Our children
have grown up moved out of the nest and our pets are now retired and
we find ourselves missing in action!
Moving back to Canada
and watching our nieces and nephews growing up playing all types of
sports found us back in the action, inspiring us to start taking a
look at our ever growing photos and realizing a dream.
"We had a dream!"
Why not share all those memories we have with other people. Why not shoot
those memories that all families love to display in their homes
and scrap books. Surprise families with memories that last a life
time!
We came up with the idea of traveling the Okanagan area and setting up
a little display area and show our stuff. It's working, families just
love the action shots. They want to watch their children play, not
have to look through a camera viewer and miss a slide to home to
win the game, a touch down or a slap shot from the point.
Working
with my brother James is like watching an over time game of hockey or
baseball. Always thrilling and keeps you on the edge of your seat. He
is one of a kind (the best kind). Just remember I'm the quiet one in
the stands!
